Fantasy Choir

The Choir of the Fantasy World

Fantasy Choir is open to young people of any musical level, even zero, to learn music through organized lessons in solfège, theory, vocal and practical practice with the choir on a weekly basis, but also in performances in Greece and abroad.

Solfège and Music Theory aim to acquire a first reading (prima vista).Phonics is taught to cultivate and improve the musical quality of the voice. The goal of the practice is to equip the chorister with the necessary knowledge and tools to be able to successfully participate in a choral formation and accurately interpret a piece of music.

Music Theory

The music theory courses aim to give choir members a theoretical musical background so that they can read and interpret music during rehearsal. Depending on the musical level of the choir, it is classified in a section that suits its needs.

Solfège

Solfège concerns the development of the perception of the tonal pitch of a note, but also of the relationship that exists between the tonal pitch of several notes. The purpose of Solfège is to match the symbols of the notes, for the exact position of their position on the staff, with their exact sound in the inner hearing and their performance with the voice.

Vocal lessons

During the course we work on the range and intensity of the voice, tonal accuracy, breathing and articulation through appropriate technical exercises.

Practice

The practice and application of theoretical knowledge and phonetics take place during the rehearsal. All members participate in the rehearsal, regardless of musical level. The rehearsal takes place under the direction of the conductor of the choir and focuses on the quality performance of the repertoire.

For those who want to deal systematically with learning music (monody, classical and traditional instruments, theory, etc.) the choir collaborates with the conservatory "Formix" offering its members low tuition and scholarships.

Rehearsals

Regular choir rehearsals take place every Saturday 17:00-20:00
at the Research Center for Mixed Performing Arts "Rectifié", L. Kon/poleos 119, P.C. 104 47, Athens
