From Friday, May 22 to Sunday, May 24, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is organizing, for the first time, the Community Choirs Festival. For three days, the voices of hundreds of choristers will fill the Agora of the SNFCC with music, ranging from traditional and polyphonic sounds to gospel and musicals, in a festival dedicated to the choir as a means of collective expression, cooperation, and shared musical experience.

Aiming to bring together choirs from different social and cultural backgrounds, age groups, and geographical regions of the country, the festival aspires to become a grand celebration that will highlight the power of community and collectivity.

The Community Choirs Festival is organized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in collaboration with the Community Choir of the Moraitis School, under the artistic direction of Vagia Papagiannopoulou.

A total of 63 amateur community choirs from all over Greece are participating (Agrinio, Athens, Aigialeia, Atalanti, Veria, Drama, Zakynthos, Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Kalamata, Katerini, Larissa, Livadia, Xylokastro, Paros, Patras, Piraeus, Pelion, Salamina, Serres, Tinos, Florina, Chalkida), having responded to the SNFCC's open call.

Our choir's performance will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 14:30.
